Empowering Users Through a Data-Driven Virtual Assistant
The PRCRI Virtual Assistant is part of the Rhode Island Cancer and Oral Health Resource Guide, designed to help users easily access educational materials, professional resources, and community support.
Developed by Blackburn Labs in collaboration with PRCRI’s Dental Oncology team, this intelligent assistant provides an intuitive interface that guides users to relevant resources — including web pages, PDFs, and support organizations — within the Dental Oncology Knowledge Center.
Through custom analytics, educational sessions, and ethical data guidance, PRCRI gained the ability to measure engagement, evaluate outcomes, and make data-driven decisions while maintaining user privacy and best practices in data management.
This project demonstrates the power of combining human-centered design, data visualization, and self-service content management to create a sustainable, measurable, and accessible virtual resource hub.
